This is something that God’s been speaking to me lately, and I just feel like I need to share it with you guys, praying that it will encourage you as much as it has encouraged me. I don’t know who exactly needs to read this… But to the person reading this at this very moment,…
“We atone for our own sin by condemning sins in others that we do not struggle with.”
And in the same judgmental glance, we believe we are better than the tattooed up, ear pierced, unplanned mother, man with a prison record, overweight, teenager with a past.
How dare we take advantage of God’s grace. We are no better.
I not only want to see how many of you there are out there, but I want to follow every single one of you.

[Hebrews 12:4]
Why are you holding onto the very thing that nailed our Saviour onto the cross? Why are you putting your own pleasure above His pleasure? Why are you using grace as an excuse to sin?
Beloved, you have been set free by the blood of Christ. Do not hold back in the race before us. Stop clutching onto the things that do nothing but destroy. Stop being comfortable. He has opened the door for you - fly out of the cage.
Stop walking past the poor and oppressed; feed and clothe them. Stop giving yourself such easy access to pornography sites; install accountability software and stop hiding secrets from those who keep you accountable. Stop placing yourself in situations where you are vulnerable to lust; run for purity. Stop setting vile things before your eyes and calling it “entertainment”, and start thinking of what is noble, lovely, and pure. Stop eyeing off razors and throw them out. Stop taking your tiredness out on others and start treating them with love. Stop spreading gossip and start respecting people. Stop indulging in vulgar language - the mouth speaks what the heart is full of - and let your voice sing only for your King.
Flee temptation, beloved. Sin is crouching at the door. Keep it out. Bring it into the light; it only festers in the darkness. Confess your sins to one another; let us run this race together. Let us live in the Spirit and not in the flesh.
Let Him give you a new heart. You have not resisted in your struggle against sin, beloved, not even close to the point of shedding your blood. Love Him wholeheartedly. Stop feeding sinful desires, and soon they will have no hold on you. He can change your heart, beloved. The Spirit in you has given you all you need. Let go of sin, and take hold of life.
True Love Waits.
If it’s meant to happen, it will. Be patient and stay firmed and grounded. Never throw your heart around. Guard your heart and be grounded in God’s one true love before you go out and discern whether that this man or woman is the one I want to give my heart to (Proverbs 4:23). Be patient. God will show you who will remain true in the time of waiting. He will show you who has the strength and will to persevere and hold your heart.
But often times we are too disobedient and too doubtful to leave such matters in the hands of God. Why must we feel the need to go out of our way and experiment and test to see who is true when we have a God who is telling us to wait and to save our precious hearts for the one He has set for us? Why do we insist that we put our heart and self on the line for others when God is gives us the opportunity to keep it safe? Is it because we have so little faith and trust in a future that God already knows about?
Our God is sovereign. Wait on Him and keep your heart guarded in God’s true love and keep your eyes on God and not on the future and or even on the person that you trust today. God will provide in the way He sees fit. Trust in that.
We serve such a loving God.
